Some parts of the internet would have you believe that this is a trekking centre with facilities. It is the former, but not the latter. Summer is defined as being January and February, during which time ther are a few lodging houses and some very basic cafés which also sell essentials such as bread and wine. Winter starts at 8am on 1 March, after which time you might be lucky enough to buy wine, but don´t bank on bread. There´s a shop with tinned foods 3km down the road. Other than that, it´s a pretty spot with a scattering of houses, but essentially just the end of the line for the bus. Even in Winter there are four buses a day, so it´s an ideal location to get to for some fantastic hiking.
