Ensenada, Los Lagos, Chilean Patagonia

2hrs north east of Puerto Montt by bus

A lovely location with a nice beach on Lago Llanquihue a litle north east of Purto Montt. The lake is one of the biggest in Chile and lies at the foott of Volcan Osorno, argued to be the second most perfectly shaped volcano after Mt Fuji.

Ensenada is a strip along the highway of holiday houses and restaurants. It´s handy for access to the volcano, the national park, lakes and waterfalls, but there´s not much open outside of Summer.

Hospedaje La Arena is one of the nicest places I´ve stayed in.
