You can`t beat the dramatic Paso de los Liberatores under Aconcagua between Santiago and Mendoza, but this Andes crossing is one of the most spectacular I`ve done - zig zag switchbacks up to the 4000m altiplano, huge salt lakes, massive volcanoes and a descent into the vegetationless Atacama desert!
