A pretty little town up in the Precordillera of the Chilean Andes with fertile, irrigated crops balanced on precarious ledges above deep gorges. There`s good walking to be had in all directions, almost always with snow clad volcanoes visible. Most of the time you are following 1000 year old trade routes across the Andes.
