The site of Tahiti´s most important Marae, which was a three-tiered pyramid when Cook visited, but now an overgrown hill of crumbling rubble mistreated and not valued by the locals any more. Still significant to the culture, perhaps one day it will be restored like the beautiful Marae Arahurahu near Paea.
