Monument Nacional Morado, Santiago, Chile

This national park is located at the head of the Cañon del Maipo under the towering 5900m Volcan San Jose on the border with Argentina. There`s a great day hike up to Glacier San Francisco under El Morado, 4700m. It´s spectacular country and the mountains below the snowline are red, green, orange and grey from the rich variety of minerals.
