Mendoza, Mendoza, Argentina (Central W)

A lovely town with tree-lined streets and pretty plazas and a fine place to enjoy a "submarino", a glass of hot milk with a bar of bitter dark chocolate submerged in it. The Malbecs here are superb, and the best in Argentina. I didn`t think it was possible to go wrong with any wine you pick up from Argentina or Chile, but it is: avoid the certificated Vino Turista like the plague - it´s for the tourists only, and is the third worst wine I have tasted in my life!
